Ahoy,
We are approaching our big event of the year, Sail-A-Dinghy-Day, on Sunday April 21st at Shoreline Lake. It is looking like there will be a large turnout of the public, as Shoreline will be heavily promoting it in newspapers and digital media.
We will be showing off our boats to the public, answering questions about the club and sailing in general, as well as sailing out on the lake to demonstrate racing. The Shoreline Lake staff will be taking the public out on free rides in their Capris.
We need your help that day by bringing your boat down to the lake and helping out with staffing our area of boats on the shore and sailing out on the lake. So even if you don’t have a boat you can still help on that day. But we especially need our active sailors to show up with their boats.
This will be great opportunity for the FSC to be in front of a lot of people and grow our membership and participation. The hours of the event are 10 am until 4 pm.
Please get back to me as to whether you will be there, with a boat, and for how long can you help. We need to be sure we can accommodate the anticipated crowds and show off our dinghies and our club.
Thanks,
Earl
