Sailing Instructions (SI)
The notation [NP] in a rule of the Notice of Race means that a boat may not protest another boat for breaking that rule.  The notation [DP] means the penalty for a breach of the rule may, at the discretion of the Protest Committee, be less than disqualification.  This changes RRS 60.1(a).

1      RULES
1.1   The event is governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2   [NP][DP] Class rules for the individual type of boat shall apply.
1.3   [NP][DP] The rules for the use of the venue will apply.  This includes the use of
personal floatation devices.  This changes rule 40.
1.4   The Warning Signal and Preparatory Signal will be displayed as shown below.
        This changes RRS 26.

the venue will be posted on the Fremont Sailing Club web site seven (7) days
        before the scheduled racing day.
2.3   Changes to the Sailing Instructions may be made on the water orally by the Race
Committee prior to the warning signal of the race in which the change will take
        Effect.

3     COMMUNICATIONS WITH COMPETITORS
Notices to competitors will be posted on the notice board located at the registration
desk located near the head of the launch ramp.

4      SIGNALS MADE ASHORE
4.1   Signals made ashore will be displayed at the registration desk located near the
        head of the launch ramp.

6.2   The diagram and table in SI Addendum B shows the courses for the Lake

S (starboard) and P (port) following the mark numbers in the table above indicate the side on which each mark is to be left.
The following modifiers may be displayed following the course designation:

A    Substitute Mark 1 for Mark 2 for all roundings. The direction of rounding remains unchanged.
R    Sail the course in reverse order. The direction of rounding is also changed.
X    Repeat the rounding marks of the course prior to finishing.

The modifiers may be combined, e.g. 9ARX would indicate to sail course 9, twice around, in reverse, and replace Mark 2 with Mark 1 in all instances. The course sailed would be Start-4S-1S-4S-1S-Finish.
