Hi all,
The attendance at the Summer Series races 1, 2, & 3 on Sunday, July 18, was 3 Lidos - Earl Thomas, Sidney Lee, and Richard Moser, and 1 El Toro - Art Lange. With Art as the only El Toro skipper attending, we decided to start him with the Lidos and calculate handicap times. The attached file shows the handicap results. As can be seen, Art made the most of the opportunity.
We sailed 5 races, but only two of the four boats sailed the last race. I suggest that only the first four races be used for series calculations. As I see it, for the series the three Lidos should be scored against each other, and Art gets 4 bullets in the El Toro class. The handicap results and 5th race provide "bragging rights" for the day.
Thanks to you skippers and crews for coming out. Thanks to Eric Tam for serving on the race committee, waving the flags, watching the line, and rowing back to the dock.
Any questions, please reply,
Roy Jordan
